What is Lego Robotics?

Robotics is not just playing with LEGOS!

Team members learn to design, program and control fully-functional robots. They use the Lego Mindstorms EV3 and Spike Prime software to plan, test and modify sequences of instructions for a variety of life-like robotic behaviors. Team members learn to collect and analyze data from sensors, using data logging functions embedded in the software.

Students may try-out for the team beginning in late September. Team members are expected to:

  • exhibit good behavior at all times.
  • will work as a team at all times.
  • be active participants during the year (attend all Robotic events).
  • communicate effectively with coaches.
  • attend competitions throughout the second semester.

We do send our students to competition.

However, our main drive is to have students work together, in teams, to use their critical thinking skills and solve problems.
