New Transfers

It's A Great Day to Become A Matador!

AT THIS TIME, Adrian Independent School District is able to accept transfer students with no transfer fee. Anyone wishing to transfer to Adrian ISD must fill out the transfer application. We will contact your former school. The Adrian ISD administration looks at the criteria below to make a decision regarding transfer:

  1. Current numbers in the grade level
  2. Attendance record at previous school
  3. Discipline profile from previous school
  4. Previous school’s academic records including STAAR or EOC scores.
  5. A personal interview with parent and prospective transfer student with the campus principal.

After all requested information has been received and the family interview has been conducted, the transfer committee will meet to make a decision on whether to accept or deny the transfer request. All transfer students will be expected to follow the Adrian ISD Code of Conduct, keep in good academic standing, adhere to the state mandated attendance guidelines, and actively participate in at least 2 extracurricular activities (athletic or academic) grades 6-12. If these are not met, the transfer is in jeopardy.
