Construction Report 1/8/18
Construction Construction is rolling along quickly and on pace! From the outside, you can see that the brick crew has finished the facade on the front of the agriculture science building. A separate crew will tie in the roof at a later date. Brick is currently being laid on the gym entrance, and it is beautiful! There are some frame pieces to make it match the rest of campus for superior continuity. They have also added molding at certain intervals to give it a polished look. The archways will be stunning, and superintendent Steve Reynolds reports that there will be a sign reading "Matador Gymnasium" at the entrance.

Inside, things are brightening up quick. Literally! The lights that were installed in the gym are incredibly bright, and will outshine the old gym tenfold. The walls inside the gym itself are basically finished, and the goals will be up by next week. The floor leveling crew will soon move in to prepare the concrete for the wooden floor that will sport the school logo to be installed next month. The locker rooms are being primed for paint this week as well. The foyer area is coming along nicely as well. and the mega concession stand is going to be a pivotal feature of the new facility.

Inside of the main building, the floor tiles have been removed from the cafeteria to the front office area and to the elementary stairs. This is in preparation for a new, uniform floor for the foyer area in front of the cafeteria. When the plywood comes down, it is going to be a grand area!
